The spoilers that we got for GlossyBox a few weeks back turned out to be true. There was one item that was not revealed early, but in general the spoilers were right. General reaction to this GlossyBox International box has not been very good, but the reason may be simple: The first GlossyBox International box was really amazing and had items like Burberry lipstick and a fancy Italian toothpaste among other things. It was rather a lot to live up to.
The box isn't awful by any means, but it's just not as "OMG Amazing" as the first International GlossyBox or any of the recent GlossyBoxes. However, it's a perfectly decent box, and overall is still certainly worth the $21 it costs (not even counting the pretty pink box)! This is consistently one of my favorites in the beauty box reviews but this month is definitely not as good as it could have been.
It is important to note that this GlossyBox (as all GBs do) had a couple of variations. Everyone got the Bvlgari soap, and DaVinci pigment, and the Nail Rock nail wraps (although the style varied in the nail wraps.)
The either/ors this month were the Lisi lipgloss (the or was a LiSi eyeliner) and the Super Aqua mask (the or was an Evologie blemish treatment sample. I totally wanted the Evologie.)
Bvlgari soap from Italy: A cake of soap, but it's a fancy one. A very pleasant scent that could even be used as a sachet is bar soap isn't your thing.
DaVinci pigment: This was a shimmery gold highlighting powder, but others received variations including pale pink.
Nail Rock Nail Wraps: I rather liked these gold, silver, and black stripes. These are still in the package so the difficulty level has yet to be assessed. Others got leopard print, Halloween-type patterns, or different variations.

LiSi lip gloss: A very nice gloss from Korean maker Lisi. It's lighter than it appears in the tube, almost sheer with lots of shine.
Super Aqua Snail Hydro Mask: It's a face mask containing snail slime.
This
is a big trend lately and although I've heard great things about what
snail slime can do for your skin, I prefer to call it a "Cooling
Face Mask."
The idea of the snail slime...eww. So, in my head I have
renamed this. My friend Stephanie is planning to put this on her face soon so I will report back if she actually goes through with it. :P
So, that's it for this month's GlossyBox. A decent box (there were certainly worse variations) but I'm hoping that March brings us a box
more like the ones we're used to.
Still love GlossyBox and can't wait for March! GlossyBox is $21 monthly (you can get a free eyeliner right now if you sign up with the code COLOR) and it mails out the third weeks of the month. Get yours here:
