Red Carpet Box: Subs to Run From

Well, Red Carpet Box has really outdone themselves. After a rather colorful long history of sending expired and long-discontinued makeup out, they are now branching into...counterfeit purses? That's how it appears. The photos belong to a friend who had the misfortune to purchase this box. Suffice it to say that she is not the only displeased RCB customer right about now.



Have you ever heard of a company called Vida? Maybe not (I hadn't) as they are a UK based brand. Nice clothes and accessories. RCB advertised that members would get a Vida bag. Well...here is what my friend got.

So, as you can see, a "Vida" label (of the sticker variety I was told!) was placed atop a "river island " label. You may think, "Well, if it's really a river island purse, that's cool. Those are nice quality purses, judging by their site." Ah, not so fast. The way that the company styles its name is all caps: RIVER ISLAND, while the name on the RCB bag is all lowercase: river island .

So then you may think "well, maybe it's really a Vida brand bag, by some weird impossible twist." Nope. Vida is indeed a genuine brand, again based in the UK, but here's how its logo looks:

And you can just take a quick look at the taped on logo to see it's not even close to the same.

Only conclusion I can draw here is that the purse is a counterfeit. A counterfeit of what, I don't know...but it surely doesn't look like a legitimate Vida or RIVER ISLAND bag. Hmm, looks more like this...

Little recap: The glasses were scratched, the purse was counterfeit, and at this time the origins (more to the point, the AGE) of the makeup is unknown.

Not much more to say other than....Wow.
