Julep April Review: The Brights Collection!

After skipping a few months of Julep due to a less than exciting selection, I immediately fell in love with the new brights collection. As shown on the website, the colors were brilliant, eye-popping, and had the perfect springtime look. Hoping these stunning shades would translate to real life just as well, I placed my order for the It Girl package.

The whole collection looks gorgeous and I was very tempted to upgrade to the whole package -- but I restrained myself and settled for the It Girl profile. Normally I go with the Bombshell profile, but this month I loved the colors so much that I decided I'd prefer three polishes to two polishes and a product.

Inside the beautifully packaged box (bright yellow crinkles, hot pink tissue paper, lime green bag for polishes) I found a bright pink rock candy treat along with my three polishes. These colors are prettier in person than on the website, and I was very excited to see how bright they are.

The big surprise with these colors was the coverage level. Just one coat actually looks pretty good, and two coats almost gives you the kind of patent leather look that reminds me of gel manis. Just gorgeous.

With just two coats looking this great, I can't wait to try these out with a high quality topcoat. I'll be using these with either Seche Vite or HK Girl soon, and I think it's bound to improve the look even further.
