Pet Subscription Boxes: May Pawalla Pet Box Review + Pawalla Coupon $6.50 Off

The Pawalla pet box is always one of my favorite pet box reviews, actually one of my favorite subscription boxes period. The dogs absolutely love their Pawalla box, and this month that holds true once again. This Pawalla review covers the Pawalla May box.
Much to Flirty's joy, Pawalla is here!
The Pawalla boxes come in both a big box (the one in this review, $29.00 monthly) and in a mini box ($17.00 monthly.) The mini contains the same type of items as the big box, but without the wet food. We like the big box because the wet food is very useful as a dry food topper -- a few spoonfuls atop dry food, well mixed, convinces my picky eater to actually finish her food.
The big Pawalla box for May, still in box.
Pawalla goodies unboxed
By Nature food: We got two cans of By Nature 95% Protein food, one in chicken and one in beef. The 95% protein model was designed to more closely mirror a dog's natural diet, according to By Nature. The greyhounds have sampled the beef one (love it) and we will sample chicken soon.

Wigzi Tasties in Wisconsin Cheddar (full size, 6 oz): These 100% natural treats were the dog favorite of the box. Flirty grabbed these out of the box first, and when we opened them, both girls were begging for more. Bite sized nuggets. Apparently they are delicious, and they do actually smell good.

Grizzly Nutreats Smoked Wild Salmon Treats (6 oz, full size): These grain-free goodies have salmon protein,  and are naturally enriched with Kelp and Alfalfa. My girls are especially fond of salmon treats (the more pungent the better) and they really love these. I am not really fond of the smell of these since I don't enjoy aromatic salmon quite like the pups do. But I keep my nose out of the bag and all is well! These are slightly larger than the other treats but are still a great bite size for training or quick treats. I give each girl two or three of these and they are thrilled.

Honest Kitchen Embark (4 oz very large sample size): This is a dehydrated food (add water) can be used as either a complete meal or as a topper. Free range chicken, cage free turkey, grain free, gluten free, and phytonutrient compounds from fruits and veggies are included in Honest Kitchen foods. I'm already a big fan of this brand for their quality, plus the dogs love it. We've tried the Honest Kitchen Force before, and I know they'll enjoy this one as well. This very large sample size will serve as food topper for the girls for at least four meals. I like to use this only in small amounts as a topper to avoid any potential tummy upset -- exclusively feeding it as the main meal would be too much of a sudden change for the digestive system of many dogs including mine.

Wigzi Lock n'Play (in medium size): This is a rubber toy that bounces and floats. The  slot  at the bottom is ridged to hold treats inside the pocket. This is a fun way to keep dogs occupied and engaged. Jade loves this and spent quite a  while ferreting out the treats I'd placed inside. However, when I handed this to Flirty to try she took it, flung it around a bit for a few seconds, dropped it on the floor, and walked off. I think she rolled her eyes at me, too. Flirt's attitude is that she is 13.5 years old and she is going to have me feed her treats on demand, not have to root them out of a toy. Yes I fed her treats on demand immediately.

Fresh Dog Natural Oatmeal Shampoo: (2oz sample size) This blend of oatmeal and sweet almond oil smells great, and it makes dog fur soft and shiny. We have sampled this shampoo before, and I love it. The greyhounds absolutely hate it. But it should be noted that they hate anything related with getting a bath. Gerrard Larriett Aromatherapy Spray: (4 oz large sample size) In Relaxing Wildwoods scent. This freshening and shining spray is safe for both dogs and cats. It contains shampoo and conditioner, shine spray, and a deodorizing component so it could be good for freshening in between baths. It smells really fantastic, it is a very fresh and clean scent. Again, the greyhounds do not approve of this because they think the spray will melt them.

The Pawalla box review this month is a good one, again. The favorite greyhound-approved item of the box were the Wisconsin Cheddar flavor treats. The favorite for me was the aromatherapy spray. It smells so great and really makes their coat silky soft.
